Specimen: Space Shuttle
Collected: October, 1997 Price then: 75 cents Location: Museum of Science & Industry, Chicago, IL Inscript: "Museum of Science and Industry" bottom; "Space Shuttle" top Color: White Latest Confirmed Operation: May, 2001 Current Price: 1 Dollar The shuttle long ago replaced a Mercury Space Capsule, of which the museum has one on display. (This specimen suffers most from what appears to be an attempt to cut costs by using less plastic. My latest specimen had holes in the forward cabin and broke easily at the wings) |
